Scenic Drives - Cwmcarn, Hay bluff, Gospel pass - We have detailed routes please ask.
Cycling - Sustrans Route 46 Newport to Blaenavon and route 30 Monmouthshire regional cycle routes are within very easy reach, and a twenty minute drive away at Cwmcarn is the reknown Twrch trail 15.5km a very testing mountain bike trail.
The Iron Mountain Trail - Around the World Heritage site in Blaenavon follow trails that have been used for centuries by Mine workers across what at times must have seemed like the top of the world.
G Force Karting - 500 metre outdoor circuit - Arrive and drive.
Watersports at Llandegfedd Resevoir - incuding Paddleboarding- Canadian canoes - Wind surfing - Sailing - Canoeing.
Golf - we have two local municipal 9 & 18 hole courses (
Llanyrafon & Caerleon - we had two guests recently who paid £50 each for a round of Golf at a popular course - but preferred their £4.20 round at Llanyrafon - a short stroll from Springfields and a pint in the Crows Nest after !!!). A
number of 18 hole and championship courses Greenmeadow Golf Course (Llanwern, Newport & Parc Golf course) and of course the 2010 Golf Course at the Celtic Manor resort home of the . Also a short drive takes you to The Rolls of Monmouth, Dewstow and Raglan Park and Royal Porthcawl.

Long Distance paths -
We are a short distance from the
Cambrian Way
and priviledged that the Cistercian Way starts from St Michael's church a 2 minute stroll from Springfields. Also incidently John Fielding Aka Private John Williams a survivor of "Rourkes Drift" is buried.
